About me
Hello! My name is Sally Goodman June.  I have owned and operated the Yoga Connection studio in Beaumont for the last 4 years.   Through my yoga practice I have completely transformed my life - not only my physical body but my mind, breath, and outlook on life.  I truly believe that yoga is more than just the physical practice, and everyone can benefit mentally and physically by learning to be more mindful in both their yoga practice and in their everyday life.  My yoga classes are a blend of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Hatha.

Qualifications
I studied at Yoga Works to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200) and am registered with the Yoga Alliance.

Philosophy
As a teacher I want to help people become mindful of their bodies and realize the benefits of including regular Yoga practice in your life.  Practicing Yoga helps you to feel good physically and mentally.  Yoga practice is not just a workout.  Yoga is a journey.  So many people get caught up in the stresses of daily life and get caught up comparing themselves to others around them or people you see in the media.  Yoga teaches you to honor your body and focus on the moment, realizing that everyone's body and moment is different.   As you continue your journey you become aware, mindful, of your body, how your body moves, and how your mind and breathing can affect your body both positively and negatively.  Yoga practice helps you to become more in control of your physical and mental movements and can give you skills that will help your physical and mental state.  Yoga really is for every body.

Yoga in Golf
Before opening at The Yoga Connection studio in Beaumont, California I worked at a Oak Valley Golf Course.  At the Golf Course I had the opportunity to observe many amateur and professional golfers during various tournaments.  All of the golfers at this level are fantastic golfers with great golfing skills, however I noticed a interesting pattern: golfers who had a strong mind-body connection tended to be on the leader boards.  These golfers mindfully stretched their bodies before practicing, and were much more focused than the other golfers.  These golfers had learned to stay in the moment, not dwelling on the last hole, or worrying about the next hole.  Knowingly or unknowingly, they were using Yoga skills to help them be at the top of their game.  I want to bring my knowledge of Yoga and the mind body connection to help golfers of all ages and skill levels realize their true potential.
